WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE CHECKING OUT NEWLIFE!
Let us know who you are by filling out a simple CONNECTION CARD. We look forward to meeting you on Sunday morning at 10:15am. We meet at Eastside Athletics in Lithpolis. You can also enjoy our live stream every Sunday morning at 10:15am on our FACEBOOK PAGE.
Sunday, July 12, we looked at chapter 5 in the book of Esther.
In 1521, Martin Luther dared to defy the Roman Catholic Church by nailing his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg. He was later put on trial for his statements and beliefs. Here is how he concluded his defense:
"Unless I am convinced by scripture and plain reason – I do not accept the authority of popes in councils, since it is well known that they have often erred and contradicted themselves – I am bound by the Scriptures I have quoted and my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand. I cannot do otherwise. May God help me."
Luther took a stand against the most powerful institution of his time in the Catholic Church. We see this same kind of courage and resolve in Esther, as she prepares to stand before the most powerful man in Persia..

Since we won't be having Early Childhood or Kids' Ministry for a little while, we fully expect that our adult service might be a little more lively than we might be used to and there is nothing wrong with that! We are excited to worship together as families!
If you do need to take the little ones somewhere to let them run around or cry during the service, there will be a designated room near the entrance for parents & kids to go to if needed.
It's the NewLife event of the summer!
Once again, we will come together as a church family and enjoy a picnic,
a special time of baptism, and a pool party for those who want to swim.
Baptism - 8pm
Pool Party - after Baptism
Hosted by Eric & Sara Kitchen, 7694 Oberlin Court, Lancaster
