What do you do if your friend has sinned in a serious fashion? Do you confront them? Do you wait and watch them crash and burn? Do you try to convince them to change? Confrontation over sin is hard but sometimes necessary.
At the end of the conquest of Israel, the Eastern tribes built an altar that was not sanctioned by God. The Western tribes decide to confront them to save them from certain punishment. The result is THE REST OF THE STORY.
