John 1:1–5 reminds us that before anything existed, the Word—Jesus—was already present, fully God, bringing life and light into the world. This is not just a story, but a true love story ~ one with good and evil, darkness and light. It is the story of our Creator demonstrating His love for us, stepping into our darkness to bring us hope, and ultimately having victory over death itself.
