“He was crucified, dead, and buried” is a line from the Apostles’ Creed which was formulated in the 2nd century. It remains one of the greatest statements of the Christian faith ever expressed.
In John 19:17–42, we discover that in His crucifixion, death, and burial, Jesus fulfilled numerous Old Testament prophecies, thus proving once again, He is the long awaited Messiah and our only hope of salvation.
