Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12

Hope is a powerful thing. Hope allows a person to see light in the midst of darkness. If people have hope, they can endure anything and if ever there was a time when we needed hope, it is now!
The Apostle Peter’s first letter was written to believers who were scattered throughout the Roman empire by the flames of persecution. His letter is about maintaining joy and hope in the midst of suffering. It is a call to holiness in troubled times. Those who hope in Christ and look to their future reward will find that they have the strength to endure whatever comes their way.

Check out this week’s message as we begin a new sermon series in the book of 1 Peter.
