2,000 years ago, a group of Hebrew Christians were thinking about giving up the faith. It was easier to go back to the religion of their fathers then face persecution. What they really needed was hope. Hope that all their suffering wasn’t in vain. Hope that heaven was real. That Jesus was who he said He was and that their hope was secure. Believers today, need that same hope. And we have it!
Jesus, our Great, High Priest, paid the entire penalty for sin and purchased our pardon with one great sacrifice. Himself! Jesus died for sin, once and for all, never to die again and His sacrifice was sufficient for all people, in all places, in all times!
This message from Hebrews 7, explains that we have a better hope, because we have a better priest!
